DEMO DERBY RULES/ MWFA
This class was created to have fun and fun for the fans to watch (Total Carnage). If you come with a vehicle that is built any more than what is listed below you will not run.
1. Any 1980 and newer 2-wheel drive passenger car/ mini-van/ mini-truck/ mid-size suv. No full-size trucks or SUVs. No limos or hearse.
2. All vehicles must be stripped of all plastic, glass, headlights, taillights, and anything else that could fall off onto the track during the show.
3. All vehicles must remain stock; do not alter the bumper in any way. Factory bumper shocks must remain in the factory location if used. No welding on bumpers. You may double-strand 9-wire the bumpers in 2 locations per bumper.
4. NO WELDING anywhere besides the driver's door.
5. You may weld 6 inches per vertical seam on the driver's door only. All other doors must be seat-belted shut, wired, or chained shut in 4 places per seam.
6. Batteries may be left in the stock location or moved to the passenger floor or seat area. Please make sure the battery is covered and not moving.
7. If the factory gas tank is in front of the axle, you may leave it there. If it’s behind the axle, you must move it to the rear seat area. Factory or aftermarket tanks may be used but must be completely secured.
8. Hoods, tailgates, and trunks may all be wired or chained in 4 places total. Sheet metal to sheet metal only—nothing to frame. If you remove the trunk or tailgate, you lose that wire or chain.
9. Rear seat bar may be added, welded post to post. Simple cage 2x2 may be installed, but no legs to sheet metal. This is only to keep the driver safe, nothing to strengthen the vehicle.
10. Driver's door only may have a plate welded to the outside. This is for driver safety.
11. DOT tires only. Stock wheels with no metal added to them. All wheel weights must be removed. Only tubes and air are permitted inside of tires.
12. These rules are cut and dry; you should not have to call to ask many questions about this class. If it does not say you can do it, then that means YOU CANNOT do it. Quick and easy build
